Big Rush Luck

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Big Rush Luck is one of those arcade games that looks simple in a screenshot and then eats your whole commute. You guide a little character through a stream of obstacles, and the only inputs are a tap and a swipe, but the pace ramps up fast. Within a few runs you stop thinking about the controls at all and just react.

What surprised me is how readable everything stays even when the screen gets busy. The art uses bold, flat colors so hazards never blend into the background, and there's a satisfying little snap of feedback every time you nail a tricky section. Runs are short, which makes the 'one more go' loop dangerous in the best way.

It's not a deep game and it doesn't pretend to be. But as a pick-up-and-play arcade title it does exactly what it sets out to do, and the difficulty curve is tuned well enough that losing never felt cheap.
